Copy 26 of 75, bound in quarter-mauve cloth over marbled paper-covered boards, the paper by Iris Nevins, gilt title to backstrip. A thorough survey of the 18th century type designer and his eponymous faces, beautifully produced. Quite scarce. Very Good (a small square of moderate fading to the cloth at the head of the upper board, otherwise Fine).

Carolyn Hammer asked William Hesterberg to write this piece for the Encyclopedia, inspired by Hesterberg's master's thesis. Carolyn provided the photograph of Victor by Martin Jessee. This hand-printed work features Hammer's American Uncial type on Arches paper and Zerkall Book papers.

Limited edition. 69, (v) pp., illustrated with 14 engravings by Bewick printed from the original blocks on dampened Rives Heavy-weight paper using a Washington Hand Press. 35 additional Bewick engravings were printed using a Vandercook Press from metal engravings reproduced from the Memorial Edition, 3 tipped-in plates from photographs; octavo, original green cloth with engraved vignette inset printed from an original Bewick block mounted to front board. An additional print pulled from the Hen & Ducklings vignette block laid in loose, as described in the publisher's prospectus, which is also laid in. Edition of 90 copies, this #64.

Tall octavo (23 cm) in soft brown publisher's cloth with matching slipcase, gilt titles and decoration; sixteen wood engravings by Bewick printed on fine calendered paper, text set in Baskerville. Portrait of Bewick together with a specially mounted print in a folding album by way of a frontispiece. A brief discussion of Bewick's wood engravings as monuments and memorials which appeared here and there in his work. A Fine copy of a handsome little book.
