Gold gilt to top page edge and untrimmed to page edges with mild foxing. The binding is firm. The pages are clean with mild foxing and crease free. This book has 301 pages. All in all a nice example of this book.

Collated, complete. In this work, the journalist, author and critic Sidney Dark (1874-1947) offers an engaging collection of personal impressions of the beloved French capital. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, except for a little fading to the spine and a scattering of light marks to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Henry Rushbury was an official war artist during World War I, and took up etching and drypoint under the influence of Francis Dodd before studying briefly under Henry Tonks at the Slade School of Art in 1921. He was elected a member of the New English Art Club in 1917, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers in 1921, the Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours in 1922, and the Royal Academy in 1936. In 1940 he was again appointed an official war artist until 1945. Red hardback cloth spine on cream boards.
