Ells, presented by Bindlestiff Productions. Bindlestiff Studio was founded in 1989, the year of the poster on offer here, by Chris Brody, Chrystene Ells, and a group of local theater artists, and is the only permanent community-based performing arts venue nationwide dedicated to showcasing emerging Filipino American and Pilipino artists. The venue still operates today at 185 Sixth Street, San Francisco. Paul Codiga is the artistic director and producer for Intersection for the Arts, a Bay Area arts nonprofit, founded in 1965, which continues its mission to this day. Keith Hennessy is a San Francisco-based dancer, choreographer, and performance artist, and is widely hailed as a pioneer of queer and AIDS-concerned performance. Mark Steger was a member of Elbows Akimbo, an avant-garde performance ensemble in the San Francisco underground scene of the late 1980s through the mid 1990s. Oskar Eustis has been a director, dramaturg, and artist director for theaters around the US, and has been the Artistic Director at the Public Theater in New York since 2005. 11 x 17 inches.
