Published the same year as the first edition and sadly soon after Hawthorn died in a road accident. In this book he recounts the duel he had with Stirling Moss throughout 1958 right up to the last race, the Moroccan Grand Prix, in which Hawthorn triumphed in his Ferrari. Dustwrapper complete and sound, but with rather worn edges including splits, and foxing to the spine. Binding and contents clean and tight. VG in G dustwrapper.

He continued to drive fast on public roads and on January 22, 1959, near his Farnham home, his Jaguar skidded off a wet corner and 29-year-old Mike Hawthorn was killed.
