Softcover. Zustand: Very Good+. First Edition. Saddle stapled in graphic color card covers, this UNMARKED movie tie-in for Shirley Temple (Black) is timely given her recent passing. The volume is tightly bound, and all plages are clean. Color card covers show some modest edge and corner wear, some scattered chipping and edge wear with a few small corner creases and small tears at spine and edges as well as some creasing radiating out from the saddle stapled spine. Chock full of movie b/w stills and the basic "story". A very nice, clean presentable copy and a whopping trip down memory lane!

Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Set in the Pacific Islands. 8 x 10 inches. Slightly wavy on the top edge, else about Near Fine.

Two vintage photographs of publisher Rob Wagner and comedian Eddie Cantor on the set of the 1937 film. In one photograph both men are accompanied by a couple (identified in manuscript pencil on the verso as "Tom Moriarty and his wife") and in the other photograph the two men are joined by actor Roland Young. Wagner was the editor and publisher of "Script," a left-leaning, weekly literary film magazine published in Beverly Hills between 1929 and 1949. Cantor was one of the early contributors to "Script." 10 x 8 inches. Near Fine.
