Creemos haber conseguido dicho avance en un contexto el penitenciario- que, aunque ha sido estudiado profusamente, esta obra aporta elementos innovadores en relación con obras anteriores, que son las propuestas de mejora del marco legislativo que enunciamos al final del estudio presente, propuestas que esperamos lleguen al legislador y, en todo caso, a los operadores jurídicos, sociales y educativos para recibir -para debatir- de éstos otras más y mejores- propuestas de mejora del marco legislativo regulador de la presencia de menores en las Unidades de madres de los centros penitenciarios. Joan Manel Gutiérrez i Albentosa se licenció en Derecho en la Universitat Pompeu i Fabra, en el año 2003. En el año 2004, empezó a ejercer profesiones jurídicas en calidad de sustituto: ha sido juez, primero en Ripoll y, después, en varios juzgados más de la provincia de Barcelona. Posteriormente, Abogado de la Generalitat de Catalunya, en el Gabinete Jurídico, en el equipo penal, donde ejerció la representación legal y defensa de la Generalitat en los juzgados de menores de Barcelona. Más tarde, ha sido fiscal, adscrito en la Fiscalía Provincial de Barcelona.
