Four vintage studio still photographs from the 1953 film. Though not nominated, Alan Ladd gave an Oscar-worthy performance. Jack Palance, despite saying only 12 lines, received an Academy Award nomination for his creepy, career-defining role. One of the greatest Westerns of the twentieth century, "Shane" is a classic that transcends the genre and can be appreciated on many levels. Set in Wyoming, shot on location in Wyoming and California. 10 x 8 inches. Near Fine with a small repair to the bottom margin of one image. Pitts 3808.

He asks him to accept 'the accompanying volume', which he ordered to be bound for him 'weeks ago but it has only turned up this morning'. Guthrie's 1885 novella 'The Tinted Venus' served as the basis of the 1943 Broadway musical 'One Touch of Venus', with music by Kurt Weill, lyrics by Ogden Nash, and book by S. J. Perelman and Nash, which was made into a 1948 Hollywood film starring Ava Gardner and Robert Walker.
