Er zeigt, dass erst ein System von gegenseitig eingeforderten moralischen Gefühlen und Tugenden die Begeisterung der deutschen Bevölkerung für die nationalsozialistische Volksgemeinschaft ermöglicht hat. Politische Reden, Schulbücher und ebenso der scheinbar apolitische Unterhaltungsbetrieb waren von dieser Moral geprägt. Diese von vielen getragene, verbrecherische NS-Moral ist nach der militärischen Niederlage 1945 nicht plötzlich verschwunden, wie in diesem Buch gezeigt wird. Sprache: deutsch.
