Vintage black-and-white studio still photograph from the 1975 film. One of the great and still unheralded neo-noirs of the 1970s, and along with "The Conversation" (1974), one of Gene Hackman's finest performances. Arthur Penn's unusual career as a director began with "Mickey One" (1965), "The Chase" (1966), and "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967), three films that amounted to the dynamite under the bridge that was the remnants of the Hollywood studio system, heralding the start of the New American Cinema. Set in California and Florida, shot on location in California and Florida. 10 x 8 inches. Near Fine. Grant, p. 459. Hardy, p. 243. Silver, p. 432. Spicer, p. 433.

Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. First edition, wrappered issue (also issued simultaneously in hardcover. Octavo. 71, [6] ads pp. Illustrated from photographs. Wrappers rubbed a bit, else near fine. A controversial short play co-written by seven young British playwrights. Inscribed by two of the authors, David Hare and Stephen Poliakoff. The play was written by a group of seven playwrights, who joined David Hare in a bar, and reportedly wrote the play with crayons on wallpaper. Supposedly based on a real episode, of a lorry driver falsely convicted of rape. The play was rejected by some theaters because of its subject matter: pornography, rape, sexual assault, and was finally produced in another bar at 1:15 in the morning at the Edinburgh Festival. Consequently copies of the book are exceptionally uncommon. *OCLC* locates only five copies over three records, with only one in the UK and one in the US; the other three in Europe.

Vintage photograph from the 1998 film, showing James Wood and Larry Clark on the set. Based on the 1997 novel by Eddie Little. A greatly underrated and blunt thriller, building on Larry Clark's earlier work but adopting the crime genre for a landscape. A teen runaway falls in with a pair of drug addicted thieves, who together stage a desperate and dangerous jewelry store robbery. 5 x 5.75 inches. Fine.
