Gilt-lettered blind-stamped cloth a little flecked and slightly rubbed and marked; edges and endpapers a little foxed, with the rear endpapers slightly marked; one panel of the verso of each map either a little foxed or discoloured; in very good condition. Provenance: Captain Samuel Albert White (1870-1954), with his pencilled ownership signature on the front free endpaper. Loosely inserted is a printed slip: 'Members of the B.A.A.S. in the United Kingdom are advised that no further distribution of this Handbook will be made in Australia'. Not least, the essay on Aborigines by Edward Charles Stirling (pages 281-297 with a table and 7 illustrations from photographs).
