The Court, in determining the merits of any particular application under this Act, had a statutory duty to satisfy iutself that the right applied for was one of national importance. This volume contains details of four early cases: The Nunnery Colliery Company v John Brown and Co.; re Cranshaw and Warburton Ltd.; Calstock Rural District Council v. The Cornwall County Council; J.C. Jenkins and Company v. Lancaster's Steam Coal Collieries Ltd.; and The Mynachdy Colliery Company (1903) Ltd. v. the legal representative of Robert Clayton, deceased. The book is bound in the original green cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine. It is in very good condition with some shelf wear and bumping to the spine ends. There is light bumping to the corners with a little wear to the cloth. The contents are tight and clen with a stamp from 'The Stella Coal Company Limited' on the front free endpaper.
