In den WarenkorbFirst Edition. 28 x 21cm. Paperback magazine, 99pp. Includes signed slip from Jim Goad seeking UK distribution, playfully describing it as a "hateful, scabrous magazine". Controversial, transgressive, and explicit content. According to co-founder Debbie Goad's first solo interview this second issue had a run of 8,500 copies - Goad philosophises, "why is this magazine more offensive than real life? To me, real life is more offensive than anything a person could put down in writing, spoken word or video. Real life to me is obscene". This issue is preoccupied with serial killers. It also features a long interview with Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey, and features on David Duke, Al Goldstein, El Duce of The Mentors, the Geto Boys, Ray Dennis Steckler, Vietnamese gangs in America, etc. Paperclip imprint to first page, otherwise very good. Includes a folded advert for The Church of Euthanasia, Somerville, Massachusetts. (ref: 075).

In den WarenkorbSigned by Adam Parfrey, contributor and editor, on the title page in red ink. xii, 458 pp. Bound in publisher's wraps. Second printing of the first edition. Near Fine with bumping to top corner, some sticker schmutz on rear cover. Uncommon signed. The follow-up to Parfrey's original anthology Apocalpyse Culture, first published in 1987 by his initial publishing concern, Amok Press, and then heavily revised when reprinted by his imprint Feral House. The book had a huge cultural impact, acting as a gateway drug for many readers, introducing them to wild fringe ideas and obscure figures that, pre-internet, they probably never would have encountered otherwise. This sequel is in many ways a stiffer drink, attempting to encompass some of the profoundly disturbing weirdness the internet had begun to unleash on culture. It ends, fittingly enough, with a satirical short story by the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, about the foolhardiness of embracing identity politics in the face of technological apocalypse and human extinction.
