All 13 volumes of MacDiarmid's works published as part of Carcanet's MacDiarmid 2000 program. Hugh MacDiarmid is the pen-name of Christopher Murray Grieve (1892-1978), progenitor of the Scottish Literary Renaissance and the greatest Scottish writer of the twentieth century. Since his death, his literary and political influence have remained incalculable. Chiefly by virtue of his work, it became possible to represent Scotland, nationally and internationally, in recognisably modern ways. On the centenary of his birth in 1992, Carcanet launched the MacDiarmid 2000 programme, to bring into print all of his major writings. Books and unclipped jackets all in very good to Near Fine condition. A few of the jackets have marks where price stickers have been removed and there is a small patch of lifting of the surface to the bottom of the spine of 'Scottish Eccentrics'. The 13th volume, 'New Selected Letters' has an inscription from one of the editors, Owen Dudley Edwards, on the title page. Otherwise there are no inscriptions in any of the books. Draft script for the twenty-first episode of the second season of the 1978-1980 NBC television series, which aired on March 29, 1980, here under the working title "B.J. and the Bear: A Friend Indeed." Copy belonging to belonging to actor Nick Dimitri, who played the character "Candrella" (noted in IMDB as "Thug #1"), with the manuscript ink annotation of his character's name on the title page. Laid in is a Shooting Call sheet, dated February 21, 1980. Produced at the height of the CB radio and trucking craze of the late 1970's, "B.J. and the Bear" was created by Glean A. Larson and Christopher Crow, and starred Greg Evigan as Billie Joe "B.J." McKay, a freelance trucker who travels the highways of the US with his pet chimpanzee, Bear. The series premiered on October 4, 1978 and aired for three seasons and 46 episodes ending on May 9, 1981. In this episode, B.J. travels to Florida to visit his war buddy Charlie, when their reunion is cut short by a helicopter crash, which B.J. and a marine patrolwoman set about investigating. Front wrapper integral with title page, dated February 6, 1980, with credits for screenwriter Robert L. McCullough and Story by Ivan Tors and Frank Lupo. 59 leaves, with last page of text numbered 57. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus with light foxing on the first and last leaves, bound with two gold brads.

Draft script for the pilot episode of the 1979-1981 NBC television series, printed on yellow leaves, which aired on September 18, 1979. Copy belonging to actress Christina Cummings, who played the character Liz, with manuscript marker annotations on four leaves highlighting her character's action and dialog, as well as listing several of the actors' names on the the "Cast" sheet, and noting arrival times, scene numbers, stage number, and pay, on the verso of the last leaf. Laid in is a thirteen page shooting schedule dated August 1, 1979, and a Universal Studios "Production Requirements" form. The series premiered with the episode found here, and aired for two seasons and 38 episodes, ending on May 5, 1981. A spin-off of the 1979-1981 NBC television series "B.J. and the Bear," about the series' antagonist, Sheriff Lobo, of the corrupt and inept Orly County police department. The series was completely overhauled in season two, with the title changed to "Lobo," Sheriff Lobo made less corrupt, and the location changed from the fictional Orly County to Atlanta, Georgia. When Sheriff Lobo attempts to make money by holding a fishing contest to catch the giant bass in Orly County lagoon, an escaped convict and his girlfriend, looking to get to their stashed loot, attempt to scare off the public by releasing a great white shark into the lagoon. Set in the fictional Orly County, Georgia. Front wrapper integral with title page, dated July 17, 1979, with credits for screenwriters Glen A. Larson, Chris Bunch, and Allan Cole. 68 leaves, with last page of text numbered 61. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with green revision pages throughout, dated 8/1/79.
