In den WarenkorbCarlos Ginzburg, el modelo reducido, CAyC, c.1973. 270 x 217mm. Sheet printed black on light yellow, with top right and bottom left corners cut. Communication sheet mailed by Centro de Arte y Comunicación [CAYC]. Typewritten on verso is a note from Ginzburg regarding a project in March 1973, signed in blue ink by the artist. The text references Claude Lévi-Strauss's work 'Wild Thought', which Ginzburg proposes to print on a poster alongside reduced models of Buenos Aires including a running electric train in exhibition. Jorge Glusberg, the founder of CAYC, used sheets such as these to establish an international network connecting conceptual and avant-garde artists across continents. CAYC materials were recently exhibited at a conference on Latin American art at the Getty Research Institute (2017), at the Pacific Standard Time Gallery in San Diego (2018) and at Reference Point in London (2021-22). The sheet does not have a GT number, there is a pencil annotation on the back, perhaps an old price annotation. Condition: Folded four times (presumably to fit into a standard sized envelope), slightly bruised bottom edge with two 3mm closed tears. General handling marks, small pinhole top right. Overall Very Good.
