Hardcover. Zustand: Good. 2nd Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards show scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Spine has some chips that the top and bottom edges. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues other than some pulling here and there. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings, no handwriting found. Pages are toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present. There are some scattered stains and dampstains present, mainly noticeable on some of the illustration pages though staining is also on page 118/119, which has the appearance that a piece of paper was once in here at an angle and darkened the two pages.

External rubbing and wear, especially at board edges; remnants of spine label present but illegible; internally sound with some scattered foxing, including to plates (mostly marginal). A Good, sound copy. The first edition was published in Augusta, Georgia in 1835.
