In den WarenkorbHardback. Zustand: Very Good Plus. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition. 1952. First edition - Nelson Philosophical Texts series. xxv, 278pp. George Berkeley (1685-1753), known as Bishop Berkeley, was an Anglo-Irish philosopher, writer, and clergyman. He is regarded as the founder of immaterialism, a philosophical theory he developed which later came to be known as subjective idealism. By combining select passages from Berkeley's Essay on Vision, the Three Dialogues, the De Motu and the Siris, with the text, slightly abbreviated, of the Principles and Alcipohron, the second dialogue, Professor Jessop lays down in this volume a firm basis for the study of Berkeley's logic and epistemology, and gives a wider view of his whole philosophy than has been available hitherto within the limits of a single volume. The book is bound in the original brown cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine. The book is in excellent condition with very slight cocking to the spine. The contents are tight and clean with a name and a brief crossed-out inscription on the front free endpaper. The clipped dustwrapper is very good with some shelf wear and light soiling. The spine is slightly browned and the spine ends are lightly bumped with a little chipping.
