'Being a collection of original laughable skits on conjuring, physiognomy, juggling, performing fleas, waxworks, panorama, phrenology , phonograph, second sight, lightning calculators, ventriloquism, spiritualism., etc. to which are added humorous sketches, whimsical recitals and drawing-room comedies'. Boards have rubbed edges and a few marks. Patterned eps browned. Contents clean but a bit loose, hinges getting weak. Catalogue at end for Oct 1898.

Soft cover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Rare. Small staple-bound booklet. Part of the Reynolds & Co.'s Recitation Series. Undated, but priced at 1/3 nett and others in series are dated in the 1920s. The book has tanned with age and there is some rust where staples are, although all pages remain present and not loose. Corners slightly dog-eared and few specs of dirt on covers, but overall in good to fair condition.

Includes chapters on Bunkums; Travesties and Oddities; and Drawing-Room Comediettas. In a green cloth binding with gilt title detailing to the front board and spine. Externally, generally smart with some shelfwear; with bumping to the extremities, and some marks to boards. The front hinge is tender, rear hinge is strained. Internally, the binding is slightly strained, and tender in places; the pages are generally bright and clean with only scattered spotting, and some handling marks to the endpapers. There is a small paper label of Foyles, Charing Cross Rd, adhered to the front pastedown. Good. book.

Externally, smart with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the boards. Joints starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
