Zustand: Very Good. London: The Architectural Association, 1910. Four quarterly volumes bound together as one in brown cloth over heavy boards with round corners. Titling and previous owner's name in gilt on two black leather labels to spine. Folio hardcover. 144 black and white or sepia-toned plates. A very good book with chipping and rubbing to spine labels and boards very lightly rubbed. Slight age toning to edges of end- and title pages. Two of the original paper covers - those for the first and third quarters - are bound in, with pencil addendums indicating the presence of the contents of quarters two and four made to them. The plates have been hand-numbered in pencil. The bottom right corner of the third quarter cover has been chipped. This book was once owned by Allen W. Jackson, a Bostonian architect and author of "The Half-Timber House" (1912), and as such has his name plate to the spine and his signature on the top edge of the front free endpaper. The plates are beautifully clean and clear and provide schematics and sketches of numerous important architectural examples around the world. Inquire if you need further information.
