Thick, bold "July 5 / Dan'l Frohman / Lyceum Theatre / N.Y." in black ink on a buff heavy stock 5½" 5¼" preprinted "penny postcard." Very good. 1 p. on "Lyceum Theatre" letterhead. 8-1/2 x 11 inches. An affable letter from the prominent Jewish American Broadway theatre owner and theatrical producer outlining his early years in the business and his current work with the Actors' Fund reading in part: "I have always loved the Profession because I was brought up in it" Daniel Frohman (1851-1940) was the eldest of the "Frohman Brothers," from Sandusky, Ohio, who developed a system of theatrical road companies that toured the country while the show simultaneously played in New York City. Sothern, Henry Miller, William Faversham, Maude Adams, Richard Mansfield and James Keteltas Hackett. He became involved in motion pictures as a partner and producer with Adolph Zukor in the Famous Players Film Company and in his later years was the president of the Actor's Fund of America.
