Black textured cloth with yellow spine lettering, impressed pub. logo to bottom back outer corner, near Fine but spine lettering quite dull. Greatly expanded from the 1942 1st edition and based on about 500 cases. A comprehensive account of the methods and results of pre-frontal and transorbital lobotomy. Now apparently very rare, more so than the 1st edition. A key text for fully understanding this now notorious episode in the history of psychiatry by its leading evangelical proponent, ironically published in the year Watts split from him in opposition to the cruelty of the technique. (Lobotomy and leucotomy are synonyms by the way) 16.5 cm x 26 cm.
