Two with annotations in manuscript ink on the verso, and reference photograph with the stamps of photographer M. Marigold and Dell Publishing Company on the verso. Based on George S. Kaufman's 1925 play "The Butter and Egg Man." A Texan woman living in New York sends letters back home claiming she's made it big as an actress, when in reality she's broke and unemployed. Set in New York and Texas. Six photographs 10 x 8 inches, one photograph 9.5 x 8 inches. Two photographs Very Good plus, with light toning, creasing, and edgewear, five photographs Very Good, with some edgewear, pinholes, and light soil to the verso, and one with a two inch tear to the right edge.
