D'un tirage inconnu, cet ouvrage est d'une grande confidentialité. Bien complet de la planche préface d'Henri Barbusse comportant au verso la liste des planches traduite en sept langues. Cet ouvrage de l'artiste italien Federico Antonio Carasso, dit Fred Deltor, comprend une série de 12 pochoirs originaux rehaussés d'or et d'argent : une galerie de marionnettes rappelant celles du célèbre jeu de foire, mais qui représentent elles une personnification du militarisme, de la propriété, de la philantropie, de la social-démocratie, de la justice, de la colonisation, du fascisme, du mouchardage, du parlementarisme, de l'esprit moyen, de la religion et du chauvinisme. Ce premier et unique recueil satirique témoigne de l'habileté de Deltor à marier le constructivisme russe avec l'esprit irrévérencieux Dada. Une adolescence passée à travailler dans les pénibles conditions des usines Fiat et un service militaire éprouvant en Libye donnent naissance à ses idéaux anarcho-communistes et pacifistes.
