His numerous books include - Anchoring (New York, 1989), Intertwining (New York, 1996) and Written in Water (Basel, 2002). They embody his contribution to discussion of the current significance of architectural practice. Since 1976 he has run the studio that bears his name in New York, and in the last fifteen years he has emerged as one of the leading figures in international architecture. He has completed buildings in the United States, Europe and Japan, and his projects have been exhibited in collective and personal shows (at the MoMA in New York, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza, and many others).
