It is a book about important and distinguished Zoroastrian individuals in India at the time of this second publication (1913). Upper board in rich gilt debossed design featuring square pattern bordering dense decoration of fleur-de-lis motifs inside overlapping circles arranged in fish scale-like pattern; circular pendulum-like design in the centre of upper, with a scalloped border surrounding the dense design of fleur-de-lis, rules, and floral motifs. Gilt rules on top and bottom edges of upper and lower. Lower decorated with gilt rolls. Spine rebacked expertly with decorated with double gilt rolls, gilt lettering. All edges cut. , Text in Persian.During 18th and 19th century, many Zoroastrian members of the Parsi community immigrated to Bombay. As trade developed between Iran and India, many of these Parsi communities began publishing important Persian literary works. The illustrations and style of the manuscript produced here are very similar to the Qajar style that was common in Iran during this period. The first Bombay Shahnameh was printed in 1262 AH (1846 AD), and in the following years, more imprints were published well into the 20th century and beyond.
