En outre, une dent humaine extraite par traitement dentaire a été ajoutée à l'ensemble avec la couronne dentaire saine + signature du formulaire de consentement éclairé et la durée du don par le patient. La phase I avait un contrôle négatif (dent + salive sans apport de saccharose) et les autres ont été spécifiquement ouverts après 01, 02, 03 et 04 mois d'incubation, ce qui a servi de paramètre pour la conception de l'étape suivante. Dans la phase II, deux donneurs de salive ont été nécessaires. Dans cette phase, des donneurs de salive ayant un faible niveau d'hygiène buccale ont été utilisés. L'incubation des dents (définie par la phase I) était de 2 et 3 mois pour chaque donneur. L'influence exercée par l'environnement a pu développer des lésions carieuses dans les éléments dentaires. Le bilan de l'expérience favorise le travail pédagogique sur les risques de développement de la carie dentaire, l'étiologie et l'évolution, afin de permettre la construction d'un livret explicatif.
