Rarissima pubblicazione promozionale dell'acqua di colonia attribuibile al mercante di profumi Jean Marie Joseph Farina, nipote di Giovanni Antonio Farina (1718-1787) che distribuì in tutta Europa "Aqua Mirabilis" inventata dall'italiano Giovanni Paolo Feminis. Documento non datato, il testo fa un vago riferimento temporale all'invenzione della fragranza da quasi un secolo ".Il y a environ un siècle que cette Eau a été inventée et composée par un Distillateur de Cologne, et qu'elle est en grande réputation dans l'Europe." A differenza di molti altri fogli pubblicitari simili, ma esemplari più nitidi ed eleganti nelle decorazioni, questo foglio presenta fregi stampati rozzamente riprendendo però i motivi estetici ed il testo delle pubblicazioni di inizio e metà del XVIII secolo. Interessante documento in cui l'acqua di Colonia viene presentata come una sorta di panacea, il documento elenca una vasta serie di benefici per diverse patologie comuni dell'epoca: mal di gola e afonia, coliche e dolori addominali, malattie renali e della vescica, gotta, reumatismi, ferite. Viene definita un "rimedio specifico" ed utile per facilitare il recupero dopo il parto. Il testo specifica come l'acqua sia impiegabile come antiparassitario su bambini ed animali. Come gli altri esemplari similari, il test si conclude con l'avvertenza di utilizzare la lozione lontano da fiamme vive come le candele in quanto l'acqua s'infiammerebbe "incidente che è capitato a coloro che ne hanno fatto uso senza questa precauzione". Ottimo esemplare in barbe non rifilato. Assai raro in questa variante non datata.…
