This is the second edition of the earlier work, produced in a larger format with many more plates. This first part covered Prehellenic and Archaic sculptures of Greece. These early hardback catalogues are now uncommon. A very good black hardback with gilt titles to spine. Covers with some rubbing and bumping and some crinkling to cloth in places. Some offsetting to first two pages at either end of the book. Otherwise text is bright and clean with black and white illustrations throughout. the plates at the rear are also bright and clean with tissue guards. Soundly bound. Text in English. viii + 214pp + 1pp + XLIII plates at rear, with guards. There is also one fold-out plate in the text. Weight approximately 1121g (unpacked). Dimensions: Approximately 253mm high x 193mm wide x 31mm deep. More photos on request. Extra postage may be payable.
