Vol.1 Lectures on Digestion (1891): (3, prelims)+214; Vol.2 Lectures on Diseases of the Stomach (1892): pagination continued to p.680, all edges red; ex-lib. but only internal marking is large but faint stamp 'London Hospital Medical College' to first page of text in Volume 2, plus a small ink number squiggled at top inner corners of t.p.s, otherwise internally near Fine being unmarked, tight and with good end gutters. Brown blind-stamped series covers are exceptionally bright and unworn with gilt Sydenham profiles centre fr.& gilt sp.lettering, only fault being that each sp. has a gilt lib.no, impressed towards centre (which doesn't matter much) and a fairly faint white 3 digit lib.no.at bottom. Not uncommon but, despite lib.provenance, a very attractive set. Weighs over 1.1 kg so c. £6 additional postage will be required outside UK and Europe.
