No fue la única vez en la que el autor tuvo la suerte de llegar antes que los demás. A pesar de que treinta años después estas historias no importen a casi nadie y sirvan sólo para alimentar recuerdos personales, Eurico Campano evoca los días en los que, más allá de su pequeña aldea gallega, Ramón Sampedro era un desconocido.
