(Frederick Warne and Co., 1880).- Stiggles, a lovely little children's book about two children and their donkey, written by K.K. de Karloff and illustrated by Margery Colman. First edition. In grey pictorial paper boards. Contains colour illustrated pages throughout. (Faber and Faber Limited, 1943). In the publisher's decorative original red cloth (Saxby), quarter cloth with pictorial boards (Sowerby) and grey pictorial paper boards (Karloff). Externally, mostly smart, with slight fading to the spine and to the extremities, a little heavier to Karloff. The odd mark to boards of Sowerby, and signs of browning. Slight edgewear, and rubbing to joints of Sowerby and Saxby. Offsetting to free end papers of Saxby and Sowerby, heavier to Saxby, with the odd spot and minor browning to end papers of Karloff. End paper hinges have failed to Sowerby. Internally, generally firmly bound, with leaves pp.17-40 disbound from Sowerby and hinge between leaves 32-33 loosening.
