"The mid-seventies, during which Odyssey's two issues appeared, were characterized by contradictory events in the science fiction periodical market.Distribution, a crucial factor in a magazines survival, was poor. It's shoddy appearance worked against it- coarse, pulpy paper, confession-mgazine advertisements and a content page strewn with exclamation points and hype. The result was poor sales and subsequent cessation of publacation." TYNN and ASHLEY, p.442.
