This small hard cover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¾ inches, 256 pages) was published by MacDonald of London, dated 1950 and a First Edition according to online sources. The book is bound in tan cloth with inconspicuous embossed and gilt titles on the spine. The book is illustrated with a reproduction of a painting of Stevenson by John Singer Sargent, and 7 other b&w illustrations. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are clean, just slightly bumped and a bit sun-faded on the margins (please see the photos). Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright, from cover to cover. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square.
