The catalog is comprised of all available products with illustrations, small descriptions, and prices. The black cloth boards have gold to the front and spine. There is some bending and fraying to the edges and corners. The inside pages are without markings, but there is a library sticker to the spine and library stamp to the title page. It includes air testing, asphalt testing, balances and weights, beer and liquor testing, blood testing, centrifuges, calorimeters, combustion apparatus and more.

Soft cover. Zustand: Fair. A wonderful, scarce trade catalog produced in the early 20th century, from the Eimer & Amend company of New York. It is a softcover volume with red cloth wraps, black stamping on the front cover and spine. 418 pages. Beautifully illustrated throughout in black & white. The binding is rather worn; it is broken so that pages 1-96 are loosely attached and the binding cloth is separated from the text block at those pages. The top ½ of the gutter for the front free endpaper and follow blank page is torn. The binding is also split between pages 188-189, 220-221 and at the index, and there are small tears in the gutter of pages 416 and 417. There is some staining along the top of the front and back endpapers, through to their neighboring pages (including the title page), that seems to be from glue attaching the cloth to the endpapers. The spine and wraps show several chips and tears, as well as marks from rubbing. There are also some ex-library markings on the front cover, including a call number sticker, some writing in ink on the top right corner, and "Reference" and "Catalogue Library" stamps. Other library markings include pencil notations on the title page, a Smithsonian Library stamp on verso of the title page dated Jul 28 1966, and a call number written in pencil on the Announcement page. Otherwise, the pages are clean and unmarked. Endpapers have several short tears, creases, and marks from rubbing. The illustrations in this catalog are beautiful and include many engravings. They accompany the lengthy list of products for sale: microscopes, spectroscopes, balances, apparatus for gas analysis, Bunsen's Burner, Novelette and Landscape cameras, and many others.

This is a 1916 reprint of the 1913 edition. Red cloth boards with gold lettering on the front and spine. 470 pages and measuring 8 x 11 inches in size. Contains short description and prices for a large number of supplies and apparatus, including balances, centrifuges, flasks, pyrometers, etc. Interesting for the large catalog of items and ease of organization. Thoroughly illustrated in black & white. There is overall discoloration of the boards and darkening around the edges. There is wear at the crown and foot of the spine and edge wear most affecting the corners of the boards, where the fabric has frayed and the corners of the boards are visible. The free end paper has some smudging and a small closed tear. The binding is strong with no loose or missing pages. Page 155 appears untrimmed and has a tear measuring .75". Page 155 has a folded corner. Some pages may appear lightly smudged in the lower corner. The back free end paper has a small closed tear, and the preceding page is folded back 1.5" from the edge. This catalog comes from a collection of several thousand trade manuals.
