The book is about a boy's search for his family's fortune that was hidden from pirates by his father right before the pirates captured him and killed him. The boy goes to sea against his mother's wishes, armed only with the coded treasure map his father sent to him via a fellow seaman that escaped from the pirates. Full color illustrations, both full page and within text throughout. The book is housed in the publisher's original full color pictorial box which is in lovely condition with a single closed split to one edge of the box top. The condition of the book is VERY FINE.
