This book is a collection of essays exploring various aspects of the changing security paradigm in West Asia and the regional and international responses. This book is based on the proceedings of the third West Asia Conference (WAC) organised by the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses in September 2018. The Conference aimed to deliberate on the emerging security trends in West Asia and elicit views of experts from India and the region. In addition, the WAC discussed the challenges faced by India in devising its policies towards West Asia. First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the Indian and foreign contributors for their scholarly insights adding immense value to this volume.
