Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. vii, 527, vii, 516 pages. A sound set, very attractively rebound in quarter oatmeal-colored cloth over decorative paper covered boards, with leather spine labels. The bindings are firm and sturdy, paper pattern and color differs between volumes I and II; contents are attractive and unmarked, with only minor foxing. Volume I was bound with new endpapers and with loss of front matter up to and including its frontispiece; volume II retains its half-title and frontispiece, though also bound with new endpapers. While imperfect from a bibliographic standpoint, the set remains useful and quite attractive. We rate it "fair" rather than "very good" owing to the loss to volume I. 1580 grams.
