Publisher's bottle green bevelled boards covered in pebble grain cloth, titled and decorated in gilt to spine. 464pp. A little scuffing and softening to corners and spine ends, some darkening to the gilt, tight and strong; internally clean, with the ex libris of John L. Holmes Library to front pastedown, some pale sporadic spotting and foxing, closed tear to rear flyleaf. A very good, handsome copy. Accounts of famous trials in the United States, Great Britain, France and Ireland, with additional notes from court records.
