Manuskript / Papierantiquität Signiert
No Binding. Zustand: Very Good. American labor leader David Dubinsky (1892-1982) typed and signed this brief, perfunctory letter on an 11" x 8 1/2" sheet of "International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union" imprinted stationery. In this 1948 letter, Dubinsky writes to Miss Rose Lacher, of Lacher Blouse & Novelty Company in New York, stating that he will not be joining her project because: "I am on the committee of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial Foundation and as such feel I should not participate in any other project of a Roosevelt nature except those undertaken by the Foundation itself." Dubinsky served as president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) between 1932 and 1966, took part in the creation of the CIO and was one of the founders of the American Labor Party and the Liberal Party of New York. Condition: Toning along right margin, mailing fold lines, generally very good condition with a neat, bold signature. Signed by Author(s).
