Very good, with some staining on the first couple dozen pages, affecting the text of two pages, as well as in the rear gutter, in a very good dust jacket, with a toned rear panel and spine, interior tape repairs on the crown and foot of the spine, and a few small chips on the edges. Shaw was the first chief historian of the U.S. Marine Corps and the author or editor of several of its official histories.
