Catalogued by type of object, such as pottery vessels, lamps, and architectural fragments, and by origin(Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and others). Very good, very fresh copy, one very small chip at lower tip of front wrapper, and one small, inconspicuous chip at the base of the spine on the right-hand side. Hammer wrote a treatise on ancient oil lamps published in Copenhagen in 1887. The collection remained intact on his death. It also included coins, which were not part of this catalogue.
