Zustand des Schutzumschlags: No Jacket (none Issued?). 1st Thus, (orig. 1864). xvii+(1, errata)+635, 175 text figs, all edges orange; both endpapers are affected by a rather odd paper fault characterised by a kind of freckled thinning, occasionally resulting in an actual hole - adjacent leaves are qu…ite unaffected so unlikely to be pest damage, the affects top outer quarter of front endpaper and outer corners of rear endpaper, being worse on the former, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked in generally clean and unworn brown clothcovers, some light pigment loss to lower back joint region a few scattered areas on front. One of the classic work in the histories of both ophthalmology and psychophysics, this is an excellent working/reference copy. Some additional postage.
