Pages are loose but still attatched to the binding. No dust jacket as issued. Major soiling and discoloration to the spine and edges of the cover. Some light bumping on the spine edge and corners. Scuffs all across cover.

8vo. pp [8], 71, [1]. Original publisher's mauve cloth, decorated and lettered gilt on spine and front cover. Some rubbing and tanning at spine with slight fading at spine area and top edges, otherwise very good minus with clean text.

Ex-libris author (Adventures in Americana. et al) and book collector Frederick W. Skiff with his bookplate on front pastedown. Very good, quite clean and unworn and mostly unopened.

Blanche MacManus illustrated hard back binding in publisher's original decorated turquoise cloth covers, burgundy title lettering to the spine and to the front cover, top edge gilt. 8vo. 8'' x 5¼''. Red and green printed title page. Rubáiyát over 159 pages carrying the 101 quatrains of Edward FitzGerald's version enriched with 12 full-page single-sided colour illustrations on coated art paper by Blanche MacManus, including tissue frontispiece. Two lengthy ink messages dated 1921 and 1944 to the front end sheet, page 158 with circular piece of paper missing to the fore edge when cut, not affecting any text, stains and marks to the covers. These illustrations are completely different to those which appear in the trade edition published by The De La More Press during the 1920's. Extremely rare edition of Rubáiyát. Member of the P.B.F.A.
