Denis-Valverane was part of the art competitions at the 1928 Summer Olympics and the 1932 Summer Olympics. -- in good condition. || Louis Denis-Valvérane (1870-1943) was a Provençal painter and illustrator. A student of Jean-Paul Laurens2, Louis Denis-Valvérane quickly joined the Provençal Renaissance launched by Frédéric Mistral and Félibrige. He studied painting in Paris and took part in the Provençal federalist movement of the 1890s, where he met Charles Maurras and José Mange in particular. From 1901, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français, the Salon des Indépendants and, among others, at the Salon d'hiver2. He also established himself as a designer, author of comic books, ans was a regular contributor to the publications Arthème Fayard during the Belle Époque for titles such as Le Bon Vivant. He was also an engraver.
