Computational modelling techniques, such as CFD and MD may be used as tools to study specific systems, but their emergence has not decreased the need for generic, analytical process models. Multiphase and multicomponent systems, and high-intensity processes displaying a highly complex behaviour are becoming omnipresent in the processing industry. This book discusses an elegant, but little-known technique for formulating process models in process technology: stochastic process modelling. The technique is based on computing the probability distribution for a single particle's position in the process vessel, and/or the particle's properties, as a function of time, rather than - as is traditionally done - basing the model on the formulation and solution of differential conservation equations. Using this technique can greatly simplify the formulation of a model, and even make modelling possible for processes so complex that the traditional method is impracticable. Stochastic modelling has sporadically been used in various branches of process technology under various names and guises. This book gives, as the first, an overview of this work, and shows how these techniques are similar in nature, and make use of the same basic mathematical tools and techniques. As of March 2016, 183 species of frogs have been found to occur in Borneo. The exact number is uncertain because new species are discovered every year. Just 50 years ago when the first comprehensive review of the frogs of Borneo was published there were only 92 species on the list, so the number has doubled during that interval. Thirty-three new species have been described as new since the last edition of this field guide. About 20 previously undescribed species have been added to the list of Bornean frogs since 2010. The number of new species continues to rise, and we can only guess how many more remain to be found. It would not be surprising if the total number of species eventually exceeds 200. Thus, for this third edition of the book, we welcome new colleagues who have made their own significant contributions to the knowledge of the identities, distribution and abundance of the island's frog fauna. Teilweise setze ich die Kenntnis über Inhalte der Pilotfolge voraus, da die vollständige Behandlung des Geschehens den Rahmen dieser Arbeit sprengen würde. Im Fokus soll der Vorspann, die auf die-sen bezogene Schlusssequenz und das Intro stehen. Hierbei sollen vor allem die Funktionen, die die einzelnen Elemente in der Pilotfolge für das Ereignis des Serienanfangs übernehmen, untersucht werden.Die Serie BREAKING BAD, bei der ich im Folgenden vor allem die Pilotfolge betrachten möchte, ist eine Fortsetzungsserie. Dies wird nicht zuletzt durch die Länge einer einzelnen Folge mit ca. 50 Minuten und ihrer hohen narrativen Komplexität verdeutlicht.
