Illustrated with the engravings from the magazine, believed to have been based on drawings by the author. Map on front endpapers, illustration on rear endpapers, Fine in coarse oatmeal cloth - Columbia Mills hopsaking - with gilt lettering on the spine, and decoration on the front cover.
