Because even though it might not entirely live up to its title, I discovered one simple purpose the book does serve: To simply exist as a testament to how many incredibly interesting and original people are involved in snowboarding and just how much rad stuff there is to get excited about." Snowboard Magazine describes Current State: "Snowboarding as a comprehensive cultural snapshot of the sport -featuring 450 pages of striking photography, a timeline of freestyle tricks, and 23 well-chosen interviews with influential figures like Jake Burton, Travis Rice, Jed Anderson, and more.
