Neuware -The soils of two physiographic regions i.e. Aravali mountain ranges and Malwa plateau consisting of four landforms viz. hill, pediment, valley and plain were selected, in order to work out relationship between soil and landforms and its effect on effective use of available resources. Total eight pedons were examined in the field and investigated in the laboratory using standard laboratory procedures.Concentration of exchangeable bases was in order of Ca2+>Mg2+>K+>Na+ in all the pedons soils. Micaceous chlorites, chlorites, montmorillonite, smectite and quartz were dominant clay minerals of hills except quartz in hills of Malwa plateau. Smectite and montmorillonite mineral were present in almost all pedon, but vermiculite mineral was found only in plains of malwa plateau. The soils of all pedons were found deficient in available nitrogen and phosphorus while adequate in available potassium.
