Curtius rufus brindley (1 Ergebnisse)

FIRST EDITION, 2 vols, engraved titles, text in Latin; title pages lightly toned, pp. [2], 205, [5]; [2], 173, [7]; 12mo, contemporary calf, gilt roll at board edges, red spine labels; joints starting, small chips to heads of spines, red sprinkled egdes; dedication and ownership inscriptions of Thomas Bentham, 1768, very good. His editor in this series was Usher Gagahan, an Irish philologist who was executed in 1749 for filing gold coins. (ESTC T144277; Graesse II, 312).…
