Contemporary unlettered brown cloth backed boards lightly soiled and faded, hollow back. The binding and endpapers indicate that the book was bound in India. J[ashrant] R[ao] Chitamber ( 1879 - 1940 ) was leader of the Methodist Church in India. In 1922 he was appointed the first Indian principal of Lucknow Christian College. He was elected the First Bishop of the Methodist Church in India in 1930 a postion he served in until his death in 1940.
