Original publisher's textured brown cloth with tanned and chipped paper spine labels. Bindings cocked, corner tips rubbed and the top edges dust soiled. Some fox spotting…throughout. The rear gutter of the second volume splitting and the half-title (probably) absent. Former owner bookplates to the pastedowns of each volume, and a later former owner name and date (1957) inked to the front free endpapers. About a good set.
